TACOMA, Wash. – When the Seattle Mariners host the Oakland Athletics on Friday night at T-Mobile Park, there will be a familiar spectator in the stands to witness the 2020 home opener.  Pacific Lutheran University mascot LanceLute has officially joined the Mariners Seat Fleet and will be one of the many personalized fan cutouts in the seats this summer. 
 
If PLU fans spot Lance in the stands, they can take a photo of their screen, post it to social media and tag PLU Athletics using the #GoLutes to enter to win a prize pack that will be given away after each homestand.  PLU t-shirts, pens, stress balls, and sunglasses are just some of the items that could be included.  Additionally, if Lance "catches" a foul ball during a game, the Mariners will send us the ball, so be on the lookout for those as well. 
 
The first contest will start on Friday and will continue through Seattle's series against the Angels and conclude against the Rockies on Sunday, August 9^th.
