TACOMA, Wash. - Pacific Lutheran University sports fans, be a part of the gameday atmosphere in 2021 by purchasing a Lute cardboard cutout of friends, family, and pets for home sporting events. Due to restrictions from COVID-19, getting your own "Cutout Kingdom" cardboard cutout is the only way to be live in person at Lute sporting events this spring.

Fans can upload a photograph and order a life-size cardboard cutout to sit in the stands during Lute home games. Each cutout costs $50 and a portion of the proceeds will assist in defraying the additional costs incurred this season due to COVID-19 and ensuring the safety of PLU student-athletes. Fan cutouts will be shown on every live streamed sporting event and Lute supporters will have the option of keeping their cutout at the conclusion of the 2021 season. This is a once and a lifetime opportunity to showcase your Lute spirit!

The Lutes are partnering with local company Rainier Industries to provide this unique experience. A company that dates back to the 1890s, Rainier Industries created the "Seat Fleet" cutouts seen at Seattle Mariners home games at T-Mobile Park this past summer.

PLU opens the 2021 home slate on Jan. 22 with men's and women's basketball and men's and women's swimming all competing at home over the course of the weekend.
