SPOKANE, Wash. – Freshman
Carson Braddoch registered his first career individual victory in the 100-yard freestyle (51.08), but it would not be enough as the Pacific Lutheran University men's swimming team dropped a dual to Whitworth University 143.5-83.5.

"The men had some good swims, but are a little rough in their second and third swims," said PLU Head Coach
Matt Sellman. "We competed well and had a lot of fun, but we definitely want to improve on our consistency from race to race."
Braddoch cruised to the win the eighth event of the afternoon, touching the wall .32 ahead of the pack. The freshman also took second place in the 200 free, finishing in 151.06.
Senior
Seth Koivisto turned in a pair of second-place finishes on the afternoon. He took silver in the 100 (59.92) and 200 breaststroke (2:14.64). Classmate
Ethan Trieu also turned in a runner-up performance in the 100 backstroke (58.05).
Charlie Cutter finished off the strong Lute performances, coming in second in the 50 free (22.72).
The Lutes (1-1, 1-1 NWC) will take next weekend off before heading to Whitman College on Saturday, February 13. Race time is at 1:00 p.m.
