TACOMA, Wash. - The Pacific Lutheran University men's tennis squad was unable to keep pace with Northwest Conference rival Lewis & Clark College on Saturday, stumbling 9-0 at the Sprinker Recreation Center.

In doubles, Michael Campbell and Marcus Lee fell 8-2 at the No. 1 position while at No. 2, Branson Near and Jake Kim battled against the Pioneers' (8-4, 5-2 NWC) tandem of Kristian Peev and Riley Vickers by an 8-4 scoreline.

In singles, Campbell lost a three-set heartbreaker, falling, 1-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-7) at No. 1 while at No. 3, Derek Stone came up on the wrong side of a, 6-2, 6-2, scoreline.

Saturday was the Lutes' (2-6, 1-6 NWC) penultimate match of the season and the final home match for senior Jake Kim.

Kim and the Lutes close out the season next Saturday, facing Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington.
