Official NCAA Release

TACOMA, Wash. - The NCAA selection committee released the field for the 2021 NCAA Division III Women's Rowing Championships on Tuesday with five-time defending Northwest Conference Champion Pacific Lutheran University among the six institutions heading to Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida on May 28 and 29. 

Joining PLU in the field is three-time defending national champion Bates College along with Hamilton College, Ithaca College, Washington College, and Wesleyan University. 

The Lutes varsity eight boat is assigned lane two in heat A and will match up against Bates and Wesleyan while the Lute second varsity eight is in lane four of heat A. The 2V8+ will compete against Wesleyan and Ithaca.

Heat winners will advance to the grand finals with second and third place finishers racing again in the repechage. Top two teams from the repechage make the grand final with the remaining two squads competing in the petite finals.

Pacific Lutheran finished seventh overall at the last NCAA Championships back in 2019.
