TACOMA, Wash. — A pair of Pacific Lutheran University women's rowing student-athletes
Riah Heil and
Hannah Miyasaki were recognized as All-Northwest Collegiate Rowing Championship selections.
Heil and Miyasaki were members of the Lute varsity eight boat that placed runner-up on Saturday at the 2026 NCRC Regatta on Vancouver Lake, cruising down the 2,000-meter course in 7:14.48. Heil was also a member of the varsity four boat that won the Keith Buckley Trophy while Miyasaki was a member of PLU's varsity four boat that finished runner-up.Â
This is Heil's first All-NCRC honor but her third straight season being recognized for her outstanding efforts on the water. The Maple Valley, Washington native was named All-Northwest Conference in both 2024 and 2025.Â
Eight total rowers were named All-NCRC including three from University of Puget Sound, two from Lewis & Clark College, and one from Pacific University.Â
The Lutes are back on the water on Saturday, competing at the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships in Sacramento, California.Â
