Complete CoSIDA All-District Team

TACOMA, Wash. - College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) unveiled its Academic All-District Award winners on Thursday with Pacific Lutheran University women's basketball duo Emma Janousek and Madison Salisbury both securing First Team honors for their commitment to excellence on and off the court.
 
Janousek and Salisbury were one of five student-athletes to be recognized from District 8 and were the only student-athletes from the Northwest Conference to be selected.
 
A graduate student getting a master's degree in education, Janousek is making the All-District team for the second consecutive season. The Arlington, Washington native led the Lutes (3-8) in scoring (15.8 points per game), assists (50), and steals (35) during the shortened season along with averaging 5.3 rebounds per game. Janousek was a two-time NWC Player of the Week this winter, capturing the honor on Feb. 8 and Feb. 22.
 
A senior business major, Salisbury earns Academic All-District accolades after averaging 9.9 points per game and a team-best 6.3 rebounds per game. The Puyallup, Washington native was named NWC Player of the Week on March 1 and was a part of the D3hoops.com Team of the Week as well after a dominant week that included shooting 71.4 percent from the floor and averaging 17.0 ppg. 
 
The 2021 Academic All-District Basketball Team, selected by CoSIDA, have been released to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. To be eligible a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at their current institution and be nominated by their sports information director. District 8 for NCAA Division III is comprised of the West Region which encompasses 21 states in addition to Canada.
