Lute Salute Series

TACOMA, Wash. - Pacific Lutheran University women's basketball student-athlete Madison Salisbury graduated this spring with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration with Marketing Economics. She is excited to launch her career, but will miss being on the court with her teammates.

Highlights: 2-time HM All-NWC 930 career points CoSIDA Academic All-District

Salisbury's favorite basketball memory is traveling to Puerto Rico with her team during the 2018-2019 season. She enjoyed experiencing the game in a unique location and bonding with her teammates in a beautiful place. One fun fact about Salisbury is she writes with her left hand but shoots with her right.

Her experience as a Lute athlete has taught her how to "work with a team and how to focus on the things I can control". She is grateful for her relationships with her teammates and coaches.

"They have truly changed me into the person I am today," Salisbury said. "They have taught me strength, courage and kindness."

On the court, Salisbury played in 73 games over the past four seasons. The Puyallup, Washington native finished with 930 career points and 509 career rebounds, including 14 career double-doubles. Salisbury was a two-time Honorable Mention All-Northwest Conference selection for the Lutes while this season was named NWC Player of the Week on March 1 and the D3hoops.com Team of the Week on March 2. A standout student, Salisbury is a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma honors society, is an NWC All-Academic Award winner, and was named CoSIDA Academic All-District this spring. 

Salisbury is a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Her favorite memory outside of athletics is touring the Amazon spheres in Seattle with the Economics Department. 

After graduation, Salisbury will be working at DocuSign as a Sales Development Representative.
