Complete ABCA All-American Team
TACOMA, Wash. - It's another day and another set of postseason awards for Pacific Lutheran University's
Jordan Haworth, with the third basemen earning All-American honors on Thursday from the American Baseball Coaches Association.
This is the fourth award for Haworth in the past three days. On Tuesday the Gig Harbor, Washington native was named First Team All-West Region by both d3baseball.com and the ABCA before securing Second Team All-American honors from d3baseball.com on Wednesday.
Haworth is one of 20 student-athletes to earn ABCA Second Team All-American honors and is one of four Northwest Conference players to earn All-American status from the ABCA, joining Pacific University's Chase Anderson (Second Team), Pacific pitcher Will Clark (Third Team), and Willamette University first basemen Luke Werkmeister-Martin (Third Team).
A First Team All-NWC selection and the PLU Athletic Department's Athlete of the Year, Haworth started in 42 of the Lutes' 43 games this spring. The slugger was a two-time d3baseball.com Team of the Week selection, ranked 13th nationally in home runs (13), and put together a 19-game hitting streak during the 2021 season. Haworth led the conference in slugging percentage (.782) and total bases (115) while pacing the Lutes in batting average (.401), on-base percentage (.505), runs scored (46), and stolen bases (17).
Haworth isn't the only Lute earning honors on the diamond this week with first basemen and pitcher
Cole Trotignon landing ABCA and d3baseball.com All-Region honors and d3baseball.com All-American honors.Â
Pacific Lutheran wrapped up the 2021 season with a 26-17 overall record, going 21-10 in NWC play.Â
