COVINGTON, WASH. --- The Pacific Lutheran University Women's Golf team took on the the cross-town Loggers in a head-to-head dual match where the Lutes swept the Loggers in all three matches at Druids Glen Golf Course.

ON THE COURSE

The Puget Sound Women's Golf team only travelled with three golfers to take on the Lutes in match play format at Druids Glen Golf Course. The match play format featured a head-to-head format where each competitor tries to beat their opponent to earn points for the team.

Freshman
Abby Matelski dominated her match against the Loggers, coming away with a 5 & 4 victory. Matelski won five more holes than her opponent with four left to play.

Sophomore
Sara Rhodes followed with a 3 & 2 victory over her opponent, earning one more point for the Lutes team, and sealing the team victory for the Lutes.

Freshman
Ashley Nguyen competed in the final match for the Lutes on Saturday, earning a commanding 5 & 4 victory.

The Lutes swept all three matches, and earned all three available points in the matches.

The Lutes Women's Golf team will travel to McMinnville, Ore. on October 14
th and 15
th to compete in the NWC Fall Classic at Michelbrook Country Club.
