Official AVCA Release

TACOMA, Wash. — The accolades continue to roll in for Pacific Lutheran University libero Halle Hetzler who on Tuesday was named Honorable Mention All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association for the second consecutive year.

The three-time Northwest Conference Libero of the Year earns Honorable Mention All-American status for the second straight season and is one of two NWC players to be recognized as Honorable Mention All-Americans, joining Whitworth University's Kaity Barr.

Hetzler ended the regular season ranked second in the nation in both digs per set and total digs. The super senior finished the year with a school single-season record of 710 digs while closing a star-studded career with school record 2,631 digs. The Kailua, Hawaii native was a four-time All-Northwest Conference selection, a two-time AVCA All-Region selection, while winning NWC Libero of the Year three times and NWC Player of the Year in 2022.

The Lutes won both the NWC regular season and tournament titles before advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. PLU closed the season with a 20-8 overall record while finishing the conference slate 16-0 for just the third time in program history.
