Box Score BELLEVUE, Wash. - Squeaking in one final tune-up before beginning Northwest Conference play, the Pacific Lutheran University men's tennis team met its match against a veteran Bellevue College program, dropping a 9-0 decision to the host Bulldogs on Friday night.
"The men fought hard but didn't have the experience to keep up with Bellevue. Dillon put up a very impressive score line against a highly rated No. 1 and we're looking forward to starting the conference dual match season tomorrow," said Head Coach
Michael Harmon.
Dillon Wells battled Bellevue's Zaid Kahn in No. 1 singles in a match that the scales tipped, 6-3, 6-3, in favor of Kahn.
Drew Kraft fell, 6-0, 6-2, at No. 2 while
Jonathan Chea was unseated, 6-1,6-2, at No. 4.
In doubles, Wells and Kraft continued to find their groove but ultimately came up short, 6-2 at No. 1.
The Lutes (0-5) return to the court tomorrow at noon, facing crosstown nemesis University of Puget Sound to open the Northwest Conference dual match slate.
