SPOKANE, Wash. — The Pacific Lutheran University women's track & field squad made the most of its first meet in almost a month, netting fast times and big marks on Saturday at the Whitworth Indoor Invitational at The Podium.

Abi Caprye improved her high jump personal best for the second consecutive meet, clearing five feet, 1 ¾ inches to finish 12th overall while teammate
Cheyanne Hicks was 16th.
Kristine Nguyen was 13th in the pole vault, clearing 9' 9" while
Madison Downey was 11th in the triple jump (31' 2 ½") and 25th in the long jump (15' 2").
In the throws,
Georjina Soliai was ninth in the shot put with a toss of 38' 0 ¾" while Teulia Ilaio was 11th in her collegiate debut with a mark of 37' 1".
Sandra Valmonte had a personal best toss in the weight throw, finishing 13th overall with a mark of 41' 5 ¾".
On the track,
Allie Youngs notched the Lutes' top time in the 60-meters, crossing the tape in 8.58 seconds while
Adalia Olmos finished the 400-meters in 1:09.75.
Natalie Moran-Padilla was the lone Lute distance runner, finishing the 3,000-meters in 12:28.38.

The Lutes are back in action on Feb. 23, competing at the Ken Shannon Last Chance Invite hosted by the University of Washington.
