HILLSBORO, Ore. — A strong weekend between the posts has earned Pacific Lutheran University goalkeeper
Gio Aguilar-Gutierrez Northwest Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this fall.
The Spanaway, Washington native accumulated 15 saves over the weekend, helping the Lutes (6-3-3, 5-0-3 NWC) earn a pair of road ties and remain in striking distance of the NWC leaders. Aguilar-Gutierrez was busy on Saturday, stopping 10 shots in a 1-1 draw with NWC leading Whitman College before stopping five shots the following afternoon in a 1-1 tie with Whitworth University.
