Miles Nash,
Henry Smith, and
Ben Tellez were all recognized on Tuesday for their aptitude in the classroom and on the hardwood, securing College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors.
A senior sociology major from Pocatello, Idaho,
Emmett Holt earns CSC Academic All-District for the first time as a Lute. The First Team All-Northwest Conference selection appeared in 25 games this season, averaging 10.9 points per game and shooting at a 42.4 percent clip from beyond the arc. His season included dropping 33 points on Feb. 11 in an 83-69 victory over crosstown rival University of Puget Sound.
A junior business major from Peoria, Arizona,
Miles Nash is being recognized as All-District for the second straight season. Nash played in 25 games this year and led the team in scoring, dropping 14.0 points per game while also dishing out 3.4 assists per game. A Second Team All-NWC selection, Nash was in double figures 17 times this winter, including scoring 29 against Linfield University on Feb. 8.
A sophomore business major from Hillsboro, Oregon,
Henry Smith is earning All-District for the first time in his career. Smith played in 25 games this season, averaging 5.5 points per game and 2.2 rebounds per game. He finished in double figures five times, including pouring 19 on Evergreen State College on Nov. 9.
A junior kinesiology major from Concord, California,
Ben Tellez earns CSC honors for the first time in his career. Tellez played in all 26 games this season, averaging 9.7 points per game and 2.5 rebounds per game. He finished in double figures in 12 games this winter, including 23 in an upset of Whitworth University on Feb. 3.
PLU wrapped up the season with a 14-12 overall record and finished second in the league standings with an 11-5 record in Northwest Conference play.
