TACOMA, Wash. — The Pacific Lutheran University men's basketball program and Head Coach
Chad Murray announced the addition of
Max Greenamoyer to the coaching staff as an assistant for the 2025-2026 season.
"We're really excited to add Max to our staff and program this year," said 2025 Northwest Conference Coach of the Year
Chad Murray.
"He was a highly successful Division III basketball player for five years at two well respected programs in the Midwest. I'm really looking forward to learning from Max's experiences and using his knowledge of Division III to tell a compelling story to recruits and their families on the recruiting trail. Our players are going to benefit from his experiences quite a bit, and he has a lot to offer from a player development standpoint."
Greenamoyer played in 94 games and made 92 starts in his four seasons at Division III Hanover College, racking up 1,157 career points and 392 career rebounds. The guard was a three-time All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference selection, including First Team All-HCAC in 2023 while securing Honorable Mention honors in 2022 and 2024. A 2024 NABC Honors Court Award winner, Greenamoyer was a threat from beyond the arc, setting a school record with 80 three-pointers during the 2022-2023 campaign. He drained 226 threes in a Panther uniform, sinking 38.1 percent of his shots from the perimeter.
Greenamoyer continued his career as a grad student, playing the 2024-2025 season for defending NCAA Division III national champion Trine University as the Thunder wrapped up the year with a 21-5 record.
In addition to his playing resume, Greenamoyer has worked as a coach and trainer at Pro Skills Basketball in Indianapolis.
Greenamoyer graduated with a bachelor's degree in business from Hanover College while earning a master's degree in business administration from Trine University.
The Lutes wrapped up the 2024-2025 campaign with a 14-12 record, qualifying for the NWC Tournament and marking the sixth consecutive season with a winning record— the program's longest stretch of winning seasons since Ed Anderson's Lute teams from 1976 to 1982.
