GIG HARBOR, Wash. --- The Pacific Lutheran University Women's Golf team faced off against the Division II Saint Martin's University Saints on Saturday morning at Canterwood Golf & Country Club, falling to the Saints, 353-317.

Sophomore
Abby Matelski led the Lutes in Saturday's single-round head-to-head dual match against Saint Martin's taking second overall among the 11-player field. Her 77 was highlighted by not only two birdies on the front nine, but also a round-ending hole0out eagle to shoot 77. She finished just two strokes behind the round medalist from SMU.

Freshman
Emily Alicea carded one birdie on hole 15 in route to shooting an 85 for the round, she finished in seventh amongst the field. Sophomore
Ashley Nguyen followed closely behind Alicea on Saturday, shooting an 88, with her best nine coming on the first nine holes where she shot a 43 with three pars. Nguyen took eighth place, finishing ahead of two Saints players.

Kathleen Pullin rounded out the Lutes lineup on Saturday, shooting a 103, good for 11
th place. The Lutes were bested by the Saints in the head-to-head format, as the Saints team score of 317 beat the Lutes 353 total.

The Lutes turn right back around, taking on the Puget Sound Loggers in a dual meet tomorrow morning at Oakbrook Golf Club.
