Women's Soccer Nabs USC Academic Honors

TACOMA, Wash. — The reigning eight-time Northwest Conference Champion Pacific Lutheran University women's soccer team was recognized for its efforts in the classroom by United Soccer Coaches (USC), securing the Team Academic Award.

The Lutes (16-2-4, 14-0-2 NWC in 2024) finished with a 3.64 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and was one of 439 women's soccer programs to be recognized. PLU had the top grade point average in the NWC, with Linfield University the only other institution to secure USC Team Academic Award honors. Linfield secured the award with a 3.28 team GPA. 

The Lutes, ranked 23rd in the USC Preseason Top 25 Poll, open the 2025 season in Texas on August 29 against the University of Saint Thomas (Texas).
