MCMINNVILLE, ORE.— The Pacific Lutheran University women's basketball team fell to Northwest Conference foe Linfield University 70-51 Friday night.
Lutes started the game aggressive with
Ghadir Ramadan getting to line early.
Lilli Williams and
Kylie Griffin steadied the offense trading baskets back and forth. Lutes would cut the lead of the Wildcats to seven to end the 1st quarter.
The second quarter proved to be a defensive stalemate as PLU held Linfield to 15 points and 41.7 field goal percentage. Ramadan and
Sydney Reisner forced the issue and crashed the boards leading to second chance opportunities and free throws.
Entering in to the second half PLU would be down eight points and cut Linfield's lead to six points. The Wildcats shoot 37.1% for the rest of the second half and never look back.
Ramadan led all scorers finishing with 13 points and four rebounds.Williams finished with nine points, three rebounds and one steal. Reisner and
Kate Wooten would round out the top performers finishing with eight and seven points respectively.
PLU returns to action tomorrow at Pacific University with tip-off slated for 3 PM.
