HILLSBORO, Ore. — Pacific Lutheran University goalkeeper Landon Gordon was a brick wall in his first action of the season and on Tuesday was recognized for his efforts, earning Northwest Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

The Lacey, Washington native entered the game at halftime on Sunday with the score tied 1-1 against reigning Midwest Conference Champion Lake Forest College. The junior kept the Foresters at bay over the final 45 minutes, making one save in the squad's 3-1 victory over LFC.

This is the second career honor for Gordon who was the NWC Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 27, 2025.

Gordon and the Lutes (1-1) hit the road this weekend, heading to suburban Chicago to face Wheaton College at 7 p.m. (Central Time).
