TACOMA, Wash. -Â It was a battle of unbeatens on Friday night inside the PLU Pool with the Pacific Lutheran University women's swimming team coming out on top behind a trio of event wins from
Bailey Hamilton as the Lutes dispatched Northwest Conference rival Whitman College 105-100.

"Man, what a great night! We swam well and really stepped up to what is always a tough challenge from Whitman. These meets are always tight and usually come down to the end," said Head Coach

Hamilton teamed up with
Whitney Mundle,
Kiyomi Kishaba, and
Lauren Kearney to set the tone in the opening event, winning the 200-yard medley relay in one minute, 50.41 seconds. Hamilton secured top billing in the 200-yard freestyle, clocking a time of 2:00.88 before completing the hat-trick by taking the 100-yard freestyle in 55.00.Â

Claire Cranch won the 400-yard individual medley by a comfortable 14-second margin, touching the wall in 4:35.38 before taking the 500-yard freestyle by a similar margin, owning an 11-second cushion on the field after finishing in 5:17.90.Â

Kishaba secured her second win of the night in the 100-yard backstroke, touching the wall in 1:00.79 with
Alex Shannon placing runner-up in 1:03.00.Â
Mundle logged a second place finish in the 50-yard freestyle (26.05), Kishaba was second in the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.98) as was
Victoria Nguyenle in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:09.28). The Lutes closed the meet with the 200-yard freestyle relay finishing runner-up in 1:44.94.Â

The Lutes (5-0, 4-0 NWC)Â close out their home slate tomorrow afternoon, facing Whitworth University at 1 p.m.
