Chandler, Ariz.
Highlights:
3-time NWC Champion
46-9-8 career record
39-5-4 NWC record
23-1-4 at East Field

Smith's favorite memory was traveling to England with her teammates prior to the 2018 season. She enjoyed exploring a new country while having the opportunity to play the sport she loves.

When she isn't at practice or competing, Smith enjoys hanging out with her friends and making lasting memories together. When she is at practice, Smith is still making memories with her friends. She is grateful for her teammates and coaches who acted as a support system throughout her college career.

"They have been there for me through all the ups and downs," Smith said. "Our coaches have always promoted a positive team culture which has made the experience that much more enjoyable!"

The midfielder from Chandler, Arizona has helped the Lutes dominate over the past three seasons. Smith has seen the Lutes win three Northwest Conference titles and make two trips to the NCAA Division III Tournament. That span has seen the program boast a 46-9-8 overall record, a 39-5-4 record in conference play, while boasting a near perfect 23-1-4 mark on the home turf at East Field.

"Hannah has been the ultimate teammate during her time here at PLU! Always here, always works hard, and very supportive friend and teammate for our program. I am very proud of her passion and grit to finish out her career as a PLU women's soccer player!" said Head Coach Seth Spidahl.

A HR and Management major with a minor in Social Work, Smith learned how to juggle academics and athletics. Being a student-athlete comes with its challenges, but Smith overcame those obstacles and believes she is a stronger person because of it.

"It [athletics] has taught me so many things but mainly it has taught me how to persevere when things get tough," Smith said. "PLU athletics has overall made me a better person."

After graduation, Smith hopes to pursue a career in business or HR.
