HILLSBORO, Ore. - In what has become a weekly occurrence, Pacific Lutheran University women's track & field student-athlete
Bailey Forsyth was named the Northwest Conference Track Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Forsyth claims the honor for the third straight week after winning the 200-meter dash on Saturday at the Wes Cook Classic hosted by George Fox University. The Langley, Washington native won the 200 by over a half second, clocking a personal record time of 24.62.Â

The sprinter's time ranks as the second fastest 200 in PLU history and additionally ranks as the second fastest 200 in NCAA Division III this season. Forsyth time is 0.46 seconds faster than the next best competitor in the NWC.

Forsyth and the Lutes return to action this weekend, making the short trek across town to compete at the University of Puget Sound.Â
