HILLSBORO, Ore. — The Northwest Conference office released its weekly award winners on Monday night with Pacific Lutheran University men's soccer student-athlete
Trevor Thompson earning NWC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
The sophomore from Olympia, Washington registered a points in both games the Lutes (7-2, 2-2 NWC) played over the weekend. Thompson assisted on
Sammy Tafolla's game tying goal in the 54th minute in PLU's 3-1 come from behind win over Whitworth University before netting PLU's lone goal in the 51st minute against Whitman College ths following day.
Thompson currently leads the NWC in both goals (six) and points (16), while ranking fourth in the eight-team circuit in assists (four).
The forward is the second Lute this season to secure NWC Offensive Player of the Week with
Cris Lozano landing the accolade on Sept. 6.
PLU hits the road this weekend, facing George Fox University in a Friday night showdown before heading to Pacific University on Sunday.Â
