COVINGTON, WASH. --- The Pacific Lutheran University Men's Golf team took on the cross town Loggers in head-to-head match play format at Druids Glen Golf Course. The Lutes won five of the six matches on Sunday, defeating the Loggers 5-1 overall.
ON THE COURSE
Freshman
Tanner Frinell took down his opponent as he cruised to a 6 & 5 victory; the match ended on the the 13
th hole.
Freshman
Luke Butler also handled business in his match, winning 4 & 3 over his opponent.
With just one more point needed to secure the victory for the team, the Loggers came back and defeated sophomore
Hunter Olson in his match, 4 & 3.
But freshman
Marcus Otto sealed the victory for the Lutes with a 2 & 1 win over his Logger opponent.
With the team victory sealed, sophomore
Koen Solis earned another point for the Lutes with a 2 & 1 victory.
Rounding out the six-man lineup for the Lutes, was junior
Josh Cross who dominated his match in 6 & 4 fashion. This was Cross's season debut.
By winning five of the six total matches, the Lutes finished with five team points to the Loggers one.

The Lutes Men's Golf team will travel to McMinnville, Ore. on October 14
th and 15
th to compete in the NWC Fall Classic at Michelbrook Country Club.
