GREENWOOD, IND. --- College Sports Communicators awarded their annual Academic All-District honors on Tuesday as ten total Men's and Women's Soccer athletes were recognized. College Sports Communicators recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their performances on the field and in the classroom.

Joelle Buck | Senior | Defense
Â
The Snoqualmie, Wash. native started all 21 games for the Lutes as she recorded two assists and was part of a defensive unit that saw 12 shutouts for the year. Buck was named to the Second Team All-Northwest Conference, her second all-conference honor of her career.

Julia Causbie | Junior | Forward
Â
Causbie appeared in all 21 games for the Women's squad, earning the start in 19 of them. The Edmonds, Wash. native carded eight goals and three assists on her way to earning First Team All-NWC honors. The forward scored two game-winning goals and has been named all-conference each of her first three years on campus.

Hannah Cecil | Junior | Forward
Â
The Northwest Conference Player of the Year adds to her impressive resume from this season as she scored 17 goals and earned four assists while starting 19 games for the Lutes. Cecil scored a total of seven game-winning goals on the season. The Bothell, Wash. native has been named First Team All-NWC in each of her first three seasons in Luteville.

Alyssa Leong | Senior | Forward
Â
A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, Leong scored nine goals and carded a team-high 12 assists in the 2023 season. Leong secured First Team All-NWC honors for the first time in her career, but she has earned three total NWC All-Conference awards total.

Ella Merte | Senior | Defense
Â
Coming to Luteville from nearby Auburn, Wash. Merte teamed up with her younger sister, Lyla, this season as she earned her third consecutive Northwest Conference Defensive Player of the Year honor. #37 started all 21 games this season and was the leader of a defensive unit that collected 12 shutouts this season. The team captain earned one assist this season as well.

Meghan Michels | Senior | Forward
Â
Michels started 18 games for the Lutes this Fall, scoring two goals and earning one assist. The Medford, Ore. native served as the team captain for the Lutes in her final season.

Cole Dobson | Senior | Defense
Â
Recently named 2023 Northwest Conference Defensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season, Dobson appeared in 20 games for the Lutes, making 19 starts. The Spokane, Wash. native scored one goal and was part of a defensive unit that earned 10 shutouts this season. Dobson has earned First Team All-NWC honors for three consecutive seasons.

Sam Erickson | Senior | Midfield
Â
The Auburn, Wash. native appeared in 21 games for the Lutes and made five total starts this season. Erickson took three shots this season in 663 minutes played.

Christian Pineda | Junior | Midfield
Â
Pineda started in all 21 games this season, earning one assist. The Puyallup, Wash. native was named Second Team All-Northwest Conference.

Alex White | Senior | Defense

Coming to Luteville from Henderson, Nev. White started 20 games for the Lutes, scoring one goal and earning one assist. White was named First Team All-NWC for the second time in his career. The senior was also part of a defensive unit that shutout 10 opponents this season.
