Women's Track & Field 3rd at Pacific Open

Results

FOREST GROVE, Ore. — The Pacific Lutheran University women's track & field squad sent a small contingent to the Pacific Open and yielded big results on Saturday, finishing third in the team standings at the meet.

"We're really happy with today. We didn't travel a full team but had a lot of strong performances. Kyleigh again keeps getting better and better. She's got a great mentality and the results are showing that. D'Yhana running a PR and getting her conference qualifier in the 100-meters was also great to see. The team keeps improving and that's all you want to see heading towards conference," said Head Coach Trey Henderson.

Kristine Nguyen cleared 10 feet, 3 1/4 inches to win the pole vault while Kyleigh Archer continued to improve, placing runner-up in the triple jump with a personal best jump of 36' 3 ½". Archer additionally was fifth in the long jump with a mark of 16' 1 ½".
