Lute Trio Closes NWC Fall Classic Strong

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore.— The Pacific Lutheran women's golf team all improved their individual scores from day one to day two on Monday afternoon.

Emily Alicea led the Lutes at the Northwest Conference Fall Classic improving her score from an 86 to 84 in two days earning 15th place overall. Alicea led the team in birdies in the tournament as well. Kate Sabarillo would improve her score by six strokes finishing 30th by shooting a 96-88. Kathleen Pullin rounding out the top 3, also improving by six strokes finishing 36th shooting a 103-97.

George Fox University would claim the team title finishing with a 660 just four strokes ahead of Pacific University (OR).

Lutes will be back on the links on October 19-20 as they play in the Confluence Classic hosted by Whitman College.
