HILLSBORO, Ore. — The Northwest Conference office doled out the postseason hardware for the sport of men's soccer on Tuesday with Pacific Lutheran University landing nine All-Conference selections including six First Team All-NWC honorees.

Yuta Shimazu headline the PLU award winners, all securing First Team accolades. Gio Aguilar Gutierrez and
Ty Brunner are Second Team selections with
Misha Turchaninov earning Third Team honors.
Landon Sexton secures First Team All-Conference as a defender after landing Second Team honors last fall. The Olympia, Washington native played in 19 games for the Lutes, scoring three goals while anchoring a defense that posted three shutouts on the year.
Alvin Kamau earns First Team All-Conference as a defender for the second year in a row. The Nairobi, Kenya native played in 18 games for the Lytes, scoring one goal and two assists.
Connor O'Brien lands First Team All-League as a midfielder. The Renton, Washington native led the NWC in assists with 11, while also scoring six goals, including one game-winner. O'Brien played in all 20 games this season and was second on the team this fall in points with 23.
Alex Coope is tabbed First Team All-NWC as a midfielder. The Tacoma, Washington native played all 20 games this season and had a pair of assists.
Owen Bliskis was a scoring machine this fall, earning First Team All-NWC as a forward. The Spanaway, Washington native led the league in scoring with 14 goals while leading the team in points with 29. Bliskis played in 19 games for the Lutes and had three game-winning goals and was a perfect four-for-four on penalty kicks.
Yuta Shimazu earns First Team All-Conference as a forward for the first time in his career. The Kobe, Japan native played in all 20 games this year, posting six goals, seven assists, and 19 total points. Two of Shimazu's six goals were game-winning goals.
Gio Aguilar Gutierrez is Second Team All-Conference as a goalkeeper. The Spanaway, Washington native played in 12 games this fall, allowing just 13 goals with 48 saves. Aguilar Gutierrez had two shutouts this fall and boasted an 8-1-3 record between the posts.
Ty Brunner lands Second Team All-NWC as a forward. The Lake Tapps, Washington native was second on the team in scoring (nine) and third on the team in points (21). Brunner had three game-winning goals and had three assists across the 20 games he played.Â

Misha Turnchaninov secures Third Team All-Conference as a midfielder. The Anchorage, Alaska native played in all 20 games this fall, generating six goals and one assist. That includes one game-winning goal and going a perfect three-for-three on penalty kicks.
The Lutes wrapped up the 2025 campaign with a 13-4-3 overall record and a 12-1-3 mark in NWC play, finishing runner-up in the conference standings.Â
