OLYMPIA, Wash. --- The Pacific Lutheran University Men's Golf team took on the Saint Martin's Saints, an NCAA Division II school, in a dual meet on Saturday at Indian Summer Golf & Country Club, as the Saints defeated the Lutes, 304-299.

Sophomore
Marcus Otto led the Lutes on Saturday as he carded an even-par 72 to tie for first place with one athlete from Saint Martin's. Otto shot even on both the front and back nines at Indian Summer in route to tying for the top spot.

Tanner Frinell was closely behind his teammate in Otto, as a bogey on the 17
th hole earned him a one-over 73, good enough for a third-place finish.
Koen Solis took seventh in the dual meet amongst 15 total athletes, carding a 77 on the lone round.

Rounding out the starting five for the Lutes, freshman
Geo Pirrie carded an 83 while sophomore
Luke Butler followed with an 83; good for a tie for 12
th and 14
th place in the dual meet. Competing as individuals, freshman
Soren Bostrom fired a three-over 75 for the day, earning him a fifth-place finish; meanwhile
Aiden Aoki shot a 95 to round out the Lutes on Saturday in Olympia.

The Lutes finished just five stroke behind the Saints as a team, dropping their second head-to-head dual match of the season.

Men's Golf will compete in yet another dual meet tomorrow morning at Oakbrook Golf Club in Tacoma, Wash. against cross-town rival Puget Sound.
