HILLSBORO, Ore. — Pacific Lutheran University women's golfer Jayda Thomas was recognized by the Northwest Conference on Monday, securing the league's Golfer of the Week honor.

The Lakewood, Washington native and Centralia College transfer led the Lutes on Sunday in a dual match against South Puget Sound Community College, landing medalist honors. Thomas shot a 78 during the one round event at Tumwater Valley Golf Course to win the event, making 10 pars and one birdie on the afternoon.
 
Thomas helped the Lutes claim a 14-stroke win over the Clippers with the Lutes compiling a team score of 247 compared to SPSCC's 261. 

Thomas and the Lutes are back it next Monday, heading to Oregon for the George Fox Invitational.
