MOLALLA, Ore. — The Pacific Lutheran women's golf team improved its score and finished second at the George Fox Invitational on Tuesday.
FINAL RESULTS
The Lutes posted a two-round total of 681, finishing nine strokes ahead of the University of Puget Sound and 28 behind tournament champion Lewis & Clark College.
Jayda Thomas led Pacific Lutheran, improving by five strokes to place third overall with a 161 sinking two birdies in round two. Emily Alicea followed in seventh with a 168, recording a team-high five birdies over the two rounds.
Kathleen Pullin and Kate Sabarillo rounded out the Lutes' top four, each finishing with a 178. Pullin highlighted the day with a 10-stroke improvement between rounds.
Maddie Downie also contributed, placing 18th with a 182.
Pacific Lutheran returns to action April 4-5 at the NWC Spring Classic, hosted by Puget Sound.
