SPOKANE, Wash. — The Pacific Lutheran University men's track & field team put its best foot forward on Saturday at the 2026 Northwest Conference Championships, collecting two podium finishes in the field events while qualifying a sprinter in the 100-meter finals.

Bridger Hanis placed fourth in the high jump, clearing six feet, three and ¼ inches on his first attempt. Hanis missed all three attempts at the next height— 6' 5" — that decided the 2026 NWC Champion.Â

Micah Ragaza-Bourassa turned in a fourth place finish in the hammer throw, uncorking a personal best toss of 170' 3" to add another five points to PLU's team score.Â

Tyger Willingham qualified for tomorrow's finals in the 100-meters, blazing down the track in a personal best time of 11.02 seconds. Willingham was third in his preliminary heat and seventh overall. Teammate
Kaden Watts was 15th in a time of 11.24.Â

Seth Kramer leapt 20' 11 ¼" in the long jump to place 13th with Willingham 14th with a mark of 20' 5 ¾".
George Sonko was 10th in the shot put with a throw of 44' 6 ¼" with Chace McSherry 14th with a toss of 43' 7 ¾".Â
"Micah finishing fourth in the hammer was a highlight in the field. Bridger also had a good day in the high jump. All and all, I thought the team competed well and had great energy all day," said Head Coach
Trey Henderson.
"We have a really young team and they embraced the competition and we're excited to finish the weekend tomorrow."

PLU sits seventh in the team standings after day one with 10 points, sitting just six points shy of fifth place. George Fox University sits atop the rankings with 75 points.Â
The Lutes finish off the 2026 NWC Championships tomorrow with action beginning at 10 a.m.Â
