Official NWC Release

TACOMA, Wash. — Eight members of the Pacific Lutheran University women's lacrosse team were recognized by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) for success in the classroom, winning the Academic Honor Roll Award.

Gracie Cecka, Issabella Marchio, and Lia Zaboski secured IWLCA honors for the second straight season while Taylee Alldredge, Mara Clay, Kassie Diller, Fiona Stromire, and Kathleen Swankowski earned the academic award for the first time in their careers. 
 
PLU's eight IWLCA Academic Honor Roll Award winners eclipses last season's performance that saw seven Lutes win the award. All told, 38 student-athletes from around the Northwest Conference were recognized, with Pacific Lutheran having the second most behind the nine honored from Whitworth University. 
 
To be eligible for the award, student-athletes need to be at a junior standing or higher and have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale) or greater.

The Lutes had a historic second season this spring, recording the program's first ever road win and NWC victory while establishing school single season records for goals, assists, ground balls, draw controls, and caused turnovers.
