PORTLAND, Ore. - Pacific Lutheran ran into a dominant Lewis & Clark team on Saturday, losing a 9-0 Northwest Conference women's tennis match at the LC Tennis Dome.
After sweeping through doubles, the Pioneers lost only one set in singles where PLU's Allison McClure took Justine Minette to a super-tiebreaker before losing 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (10-6). Otherwise, the Pioneers lost only eight total games in the other five singles matches.
PLU, now 4-2 for the season, returns to action at 2 p.m. Sunday when it hosts unbeaten Whitman at Sprinker Tennis Center.
