DELAWARE, Ohio – Pacific Lutheran's Kyle Peart concluded his Lute career Thursday afternoon, placing 17th in the hammer throw at the 2014 NCAA Div. III Track & Field National Championships hosted by Ohio Wesleyan.
Peart's first throw was his best of the day, traveling 178-7 (54.44 meters) to finish 17th in the event after placing 14th last season. Mount Union's Sean Donnelly won the national title with a stadium-record throw of 216-7.
Stephanie McFarland and Samantha Potter will wrap up the season for the Lutes on Saturday, with McFarland competing in the javelin at 12 p.m. local time and Potter competing in the discus at 3 p.m.
