PARKLAND, Wash. - The Lutes honored senior captain Samantha Lund this afternoon at the last home match of the year. The Lutes hosted Whitman and had some quality matches, but fell 8-1. 

At one doubles, Megan Beyers and Caroline Dreher took the single win for PLU. The duo defeated Whitman's Jenna Dobrin and Cello Lockwood 8-3 to open the match.

Whitman took the next two doubles, putting them up 2-1 going into singles. 

Whitman took each singles match, but at three, PLU's Emily Bower drew out the first set against Whitman's Allie Wallin. Bower forced Wallin into extra points in the first before losing 5-7, 6-0. 

The Lutes closed their season with a 4-8 conference record and in seventh place overall in the Northwest Conference.
