Women’s Tennis Edges Bellevue College, 5-4

Box Score BELLEVUE, Wash. – The Pacific Lutheran University women's tennis team etched out a 5-4 victory over Bellevue College on Saturday.

"The Lutes came away with a team win against a tough Bellevue team," said Head Coach Cheri Campbell.  "Bayley Gochanour And Michelle Batin each won both their singles and doubles match with consistent groundstrokes. After transitioning from the basketball team this past week, Kylie Rademacher used her competitive spirit and picked up the deciding win.  Great win after all the snow match cancellations."

The Lutes (1-1) got things going early, winning two of the three doubles matches. Hannah Jeffries and Gochanour defeated the Bulldogs No. 1 tandem 8-6 while Kristi Floyd and Batin prevailed 8-4 in the second match.

In singles, Gochanour easily won 6-1, 6-2 in the No. 2 spot, while Batin emerged victorious by a 6-1, 6-2 scoreline. Rademacher closed the match out with a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 6 to give the Lutes the match.

PLU returns to the court next Saturday to host Highline Community College at 1 p.m. at Sprinker Recreation Center.
