TACOMA, Wash. - The Pacific Lutheran University men's golf team picked up its second dual match victory in as many days on Sunday, battling the elements to down crosstown rival University of Puget Sound 304-321 at Oakbrook Golf Club.
Freshman
Caden Arnold paced the Lutes' in their 17-stroke victory, finishing with a 72 on a soggy Sunday afternoon.
Jared Beals was three strokes back with a 75 while
Simon Luedtke tallied a 76.
Gunner Nielsen shot an 81 with
Jordan Lau finishing with an 83 to round out the PLU scoring contingent.
Competing as individuals
Ryan Pearson and
Cameron Klundt both shot an 80.
Luke Rockwell turned in an 83 while
Connor Kern netted an 89.
Sunday's triumph over the Loggers was the Lutes second win of the weekend. PLU took down Grays Harbor College 8.5 to 5.5 in a match play event on Saturday at The Home Course.
The Lutes are back in action on March 27 for day one of the NWC Fall Classic in Aloha, Oregon.
