BELLINGHAM, Wash. --- The Pacific Lutheran University Men's Track and Field team sent numerous throwers to the Ralph Vernacchia Invitational on Saturday, in hopes of breaking personal bests.
Carson Olmstead continued his strong season chucking the Javelin, while
Bridger Hanis soared in the High Jump. The Lutes racked up enough placement points to take ninth at the Division II meet.

Micah Ragaza-Bourussa competed in the Spot Put and Hammer Throw for the Lutes, taking ninth in shot put with a toss of 11.75-meters. He followed up with a 10
th place finish in the hammer with a toss of 37.65-meters.

George Sonko earned the first points for the Lutes Men's squad, taking fifth in the discus with a throw of 39.04-meters, good for four team points.
Carson Olmstead, fresh off of a strong showing at the Northwest Conference Championships, took third in the Javelin with a throw of 56.7-meters and earning six points for the team.

High-jumper
Bridger Hanis earned a fifth-place finish in the men's high jump as he leaped 1.80-meters.

"It was good to get back out after conference. We took a small group to WWU and I thought it was solid day out." Said Head Coach
Trey Henderson following the meet.

"The weather made things challenging but it was a day to work on technical improvements and not worry about needing a qualifying mark or a big result."

The Lutes plan to send individuals to the Oregon Twilight in Eugene, Ore. next Friday, May 3
rd, in hopes of setting new personal bests.
