TACOMA, Wash.--- The Pacific Lutheran University Men's track and field team saw action on their home track for a second consecutive week, as the Lutes hosted the PLU Invitational beginning on Friday. Through the completion of the track events, the Lutes sit in fourth place, and the second-highest Division III team.

The event opened up with the 4x100-meter relay, as the squad featuring
Tyger Willingham,
Davyn Waters,
Seth Kramer, and
Kellen Meade fan the fastest time of 43.90, beating out the first team of Lutes; ran by
Kaimana Satterfield,
Aiden Yost,
Steele Swinton, and LeBron Smith.

Kai Sorensen led the Lutes with a third-place finish in the 400-yard dash, meanwhile Smith earned fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.48. Swinton returned in the 200-yard dash, taking third after running a 23.32.

Distance runner
Owen Ladinig, brought his cross-country expertise to the PLU track on Friday afternoon, winning the 5000-meter run with a 14:55.72, beating out the next-best runner by nearly seven seconds.

Bridger Hanis once again excelled in the men's high jump, taking first place with a leap of 1.81-meters, adding ten points to the team's total. In the Hammer Throw, reigning Northwest Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week,
Micah Ragaza-Bourassa was the best Division III finisher, while taking fifth with a best throw of 49.33-meters.

"I thought today was a good day all around, kids are getting better each week which is great to see. Micah had another personal-best in hammer and is continuing to grow. Looking forward to finishing with the throws tomorrow!" said Head Coach

The Lutes look to close out the PLU Invitational tomorrow morning, as the throwing events will close out the weekend. The Discus, Javelin, and Shot Put events is where the Lutes look to gain ground in the team standings.
