TACOMA, Wash. — Six event winners on Sunday ensured the Pacific Lutheran University women's track & field team had a healthy lead atop the final team standings competing at the University of Puget Sound Invitational.

Jessalyn Robles shaved off almost three seconds off her previous personal best, winning the 800-meter run in two minutes and 25.34 seconds. Robles later teamed up with
Ki Neir,
Sydney Sparks, and
Addisen Hering to win the 4x400-meter relay uncontested in 4:27.36.

PLU had four event winners in the field with
Katy Cook blowing the doors off the competition after winning the javelin by an impressive 18 feet. Cook's best mark of the day was the winning toss of 111' 11".

Neir won the pole vault, clearing 10' 7 ½" with
Madison Downey third (9' 1 ¾"). Downey secured the top jump in the long jump, leaping 16' 7 ¾" and was runner-up in the triple jump (37' 2 ¼"). Teammate
Kyleigh Archer prevailed in the triple jump with a mark of 37' 11 ¼" and was second in the long jump (16' 4 ¼").Â

Sarah Brandt was third in the long jump, completing a 1-2-3 Lute sweep of the event with a jump of 16' 2 ½" while
Abi Caprye was third in the high jump (5' 0 ¼").Â

Sandra Valmonte and
Samayia White tied for second in Saturday's hammer throw with identical tosses of 134' 0". The following day White was fifth in the shot put (34' 7") behind teammates
Tajanai Huff (third – 35' 4") and
Kloe Salazar (fourth – 35' 2 ½). Huff also was fourth in the discus with a chuck of 109' 3".

Addisen Hering was runner-up in both the 100-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles with times of 15.56 and 1:11.65, respectively with
Lilly Achterling third in the 100-meter hurdles (16.27) and fourth in the 400-meter hurdles (1:12.29).

"It was a good weekend overall for the team. The last few weeks have been about focus and intentionality with how we train and compete and the coaches have been seeing that which is good," said Head Coach
Trey Henderson.Â

"We have people getting healthy at the right time and people continuing to get better. With conference around the corner, I think we're trending in the right direction and I'm excited to see what the team can do over the next two weeks!"

PLU's performance earned 192.5 points in the team standings, easily outpacing the host Loggers who had 154.5 points to place runner-up.Â

The Lutes have one final tune-up before the 2025 Northwest Conference Championships and will be back in action on Saturday at the Lewis & Clark Invitational in Portland.Â
