TACOMA, Wash. - The Pacific Lutheran University women's swimming team breezed to its second dual meet win in as many days, netting a 125-80 victory over Northwest Conference Lewis & Clark College on Saturday at the PLU Pool.
"It was a great day at the pool," said Head Coach
Matt Sellman. "The team showed great competitive spirit on deck and in the pool. Had some great swims and exciting races, but we're still looking for our good speed. Great to come away with six wins for the first two weekends of competition."

Bailey Hamilton, and
Lauren Kearney opened the meet with a victory in the 400-yard medley relay, clocking a time of four minutes, 14.10 seconds, owning a seven-second advantage on the rest of the field.
Hannah VanHeyningen prevailed in the 1,000-yard freestyle, touching the all in 11:29.40 with Allie Burke (11:45.67) and Alex Shannon (11:54.95) filling in at second and third.
Kaycee Simpson secured the win in the 200-yard individual medley, clocking a time of 2:13.67 with
Ingrid Straume taking second billing in 2:19.88. Simpson additionally won the 200-yard butterfly in 2:11.95, owning a nine-second lead on the rest of the competitors.
Kishaba won her second event in the 200-yard backstroke, touching the wall in 2:16.07 before Simpson tallied her third win of the afternoon, taking the 500-yard freestyle in 5:29.39.
Victoria Nguyenle won the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:31.32 with Straume finishing runner-up in 2:36.64.
"We're looking forward to working really hard to get better and faster in the next few weeks as we head towards the end of the fall semester."
The Lutes are back in the pool on Nov. 17, facing NWC newcomer George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon.
