RICHMOND, Va. - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has announced that the Pacific Lutheran University men's and women's swimming teams have earned Scholar All-America honors for their efforts in the classroom last semester. The teams earned the honor after posting GPAs of 3.41 and 3.76, respectively.
"Coach Sellman did an exceptional job despite the absence of a NWC Championship," noted CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart. "These are some of the best ambassadors of Pacific Lutheran."
In total, 721 programs from 426 institutions earned the honor. The Scholar All-American Team Award is awarded by the CSCAA to programs achieving a 3.0 grade point average or higher during the spring 2020 semester.
The Lute women were a perfect 5-0 this winter, extending their streak of dual meet victories over NWC competition to 17, which dates all the way back to the 2018-19 campaign. The men's program was 2-3 this winter, defeating crosstown rival University of Puget Sound in two of the team's three meetings.
