Official NWC Release

HILLSBORO, Ore. — Pacific Lutheran University men's golfer Marcus Otto won the PLU Invitational on Tuesday and on Wednesday was recognized by the Northwest Conference office, earning NWC Golfer of the Week honors.
 
The Helsingborg, Sweden native earns the conference award after shooting a 141 at the PLU Invitational to earn medalist honors. The first-year was tied for sixth after day one of the tournament, shooting a 73 before carding a tournament low round of 68. That included chipping in a birdie on the final hole to secure the win.
 
Otto finished the tournament three under par and was the top NWC golfer by three strokes. 
 
Otto helped the Lutes finish in second place as a team with a team score of 589 (299-290).  
 
The Lutes have the weekend off before taking on the University of Puget Sound in a dual match on Oct. 7 at the Oakbrook Golf Course.
