"It's nice to resume home competitions with the comforts of our pool. We're in the middle of a tough training block prior to our championships, and anything can happen at this time. You'll have people that can really go for it under the fatigue, and some that need that rest to see the fruits of their labor," said Head Coach
Andrew Lum.
Razzano was runner-up in the 200-yard freestyle, clocking a time of 2:07.18 while Gassman was second in the 100-yard freestyle in 57.00. Eisele was second in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing in 1:04.69 with
Jessica Lee third in 1:07.11.
Makenzie Chan-Orcutt bagged a second place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:10.71 with teammate
Anna Matisons in third (1:13.49).
"Linfield is a perennial top 3 competitor, and they really proved that tonight. We had some great races, and some well-earned wins from the Lutes. This meet was a good reminder that everyone is going to show up with their best game faces in February at our championships. We look forward to see how the Lutes perform against Pacific tomorrow."
PLU continues its homestand tomorrow afternoon, welcoming Pacific University to PLU Pool for a dual meet beginning at 1 p.m.
