BELLINGHAM, Wash. --- The Pacific Lutheran University Women's Track and Field team, led by jumper
Kyleigh Archer, took home seventh place at Western Washington's Division II meet on Saturday.

Trey Henderson brought numerous of his throwers to Bellingham to get some reps in throughout the difficult weather.
Sandra Valmonte and
Katy Cook led the Lutes in the Hammer Throw, finishing in 11
th and 12
th. Valmonte's best was a throw of 40.45-meters meanwhile Cook also eclipsed 40-meters with a toss of 40.22-meters.

Carole Ramos was the best Discus thrower for the Lutes, taking fourth place with a throw of 35.76-meters and earning the team five points. Three Lutes placed in the shot put with
Alicia-Ellalynn Soliai taking fourth place after a best toss of 12.53-meters. Teulia Ilalio trailed just behind with 12.39-meters, taking fifth. Lastly,
Georjina Soliai took sixth place with a best of 12.33-meters. The three Lutes earned three, four, and five points for the team.

Kyleigh Archer showed off her skills in the triple jump on Saturday, taking second place with a leap of 10.66-meters. Cook, coming off of a strong showing at the hammer throw, also took fourth place in the javelin with a throw of 37.84-meters.

"It was good to get back out after conference. We took a small group to WWU and I thought it was solid day out." Said Head Coach

"The weather made things challenging but it was a day to work on technical improvements and not worry about needing a qualifying mark or a big result."

The Lutes plan to send individuals to the Oregon Twilight next Friday, May 3
rd, in hopes of continuing to break personal records.
