PORTLAND, Ore.--- The Pacific Lutheran University women's track and field team showed out in their last meet before the Northwest Conference Championships, looking to take their momentum from the Larry Byerly Invitational back to Portland next weekend, and continue to work towards personal and national marks. The Lutes took third in the meet out of 26 squads, earning the most points of any NWC team on Saturday.

D'Yhana Clemons set a new best in the women's 100-meter dash, as her time of 12.86-seconds was good enough for 14
th place.
Addisen Hering continued to shine in the 100-meter hurdles, taking third with a time of 15.04-seconds; notching Division III's 52
nd-best time.
Abi Caprye also had a strong showing in the event, setting a new personal-best with a time of 16.06, and taking eighth-place.

Hering returned in the 400-meter hurdles, taking sixth. Meanwhile
Lilly Achterling also competed in the event, taking ninth with a time of 1:11.22, earning a new personal-best.

In the throws,
Samayia White,
Eva Wirth, and Alessandra Valmonte shined. White earned a top-three finish with her best throw traveling 138-feet, 11-inches.
Eva Wirth finished one place behind White, taking fourth, as her best throw was 138-feet, eight-inches.

Caprye returned to action in the high jump, setting a new best for the season, as well as the 87
th-best mark in Division III. She leaped over five-feet, 2.25-inches, taking third in the event.
Sydney Sparks and Achterling also added personal-best marks in the event, with Sparks taking fifth, and Achterling taking sixth.

Katy Cook took fifth-place in the javelin throw, as her best of 111-feet, six-inches, was the second best among Division III athletes.
Madison Downey earned a top-five finish in the long jump, taking fourth with a jump of 16-feet, 8.75-inches. Downey also led the Lutes in the pole vault, making it over nine-feet, 7.75-inches, to take seventh. While
Ki Neir was close behind her, jumping over nine-feet 1.75-inches. Also in the jumps,
Kyleigh Archer led the way with a fourth-place finish in the triple jump, leaping 37-feet, 1.75-inches.

Kloe Salazar tossed the shot put over 36-feet, nine-inches, on Saturday, good for a seventh-place finish in the event. The squad of Hering, Clemons, Brandt, and Caprye took fifth in the 4x100-meter relay, carding a time of 51.51-seconds.

The Lutes were the top finishers in the event among Division III teams, only finishing behind Eastern and Western Oregon as a team.

"Today was definitely a good final competition before conference." Said Head Coach
Trey Henderson.
"We added some qualifiers and saw a few personal-bests, which is all you hope for. We're excited to get back to work this week to prepare for the NWC Championships. We've got a lot of athletes who are peaking at the right time and now it's about going out and competing to the best of out ability."

The Lutes wrap up the conference season back in Portland, ore. next weekend, set to compete in the touted Northwest Conference Championships, looking to bring numerous championship medals back to Luteville.
