DUPONT, Wash. --- The Pacific Lutheran University Women's Golf team took home fifth place out of the eight Northwest Conference teams that competed on Sunday and Monday at the Home Course. The Lutes were led by senior Emily Fisher who added another top-ten finish to her resume.

Round one was paced by Abby Matelski of DuPont, Wash. who made two birdies over the 18 holes highlighted by a one-over 37 on the final nine to shoot 76 in round one. The freshman had just one hole of worse than bogey which came on the seventh hole. She birdied the par-three sixth and long par four fourth on Sunday.

The second round brought less rain and more wind as the team's round began in the late morning hours on Monday. Edmonds improved her first round score by one in the final 18 holes, shooting an 86 which featured nine pars. Warren regressed slightly in her final round, but still shot lower than her season average with an 88. Warren made two birdies in the closing round, one more than she had in her first 18 holes.

Matelski led the Lutes through 18 holes but dropped to the two-spot as she fired an 84; good for a tie for 14th place. She continues to be a lock in the top-two of the Lutes lineup, consistently finishing in the top-20 of the tournament standings.

Fisher brought her positive momentum into Monday's round, improving by one shot and shooting a 78. Her two rounds in the 70's led to a top-ten finish as she tied for ninth. The senior had just four blemishes on her final card of the tournament, draining 14 pars.
