LAKE OSWEGO, Ore.— Soren Bostrom and
Tanner Frinell place in the top 10 as the Pacific Lutheran University men's golf team finished fourth overall at the Northwest Conference Fall Classic.
The 2025 NWC Fall Classic took place at the Oswego Lake Country Club, a private owned club which was founded in 1924. The two day tournament featured all nine NWC teams. Willamette finished in first place as a team with a combined score of 577 (+9).
Bostrom led the Lutes shooting.the best round on day one with a 68 and following that up with a 77 on the final round. Bostrom finished the tournament with five birdies and one eagle. Bostrom has finished in the top five for the second time this season.
Tanner Frinell had a strong effort on day two finishing T-7th with a one stroke improvement shooting 74-73--147 (+5).
Marcus Otto finished T-16th shooting a 73-76--149 (+7).
Overall PLU finished 4th with a 594 (+26) just 17 strokes behind the first place Willamette.
Lutes will be back in action on October 19-20 at the Confluence Classic hosted by Whitman College.
